1. Before booking a car in Tenerife, read the rental rules:

• minimum age to rent a car
• documents for renting a car
• basic rules of the road

2. Insurance and liability. Be sure to check with the rental company about the insurance conditions and what damage to the car is covered by the insurance

3. When receiving the car, be sure to document all mechanical damage to the car in a photo or video.

4. Fuel policy. When you receive your vehicle, you must have a full tank of fuel. Accordingly, you need to return the car with a full tank of fuel.

5. Parking and toll roads. The cost of renting a car does not include parking and toll roads.
